Host a tournament
Run the whole tournament from your phone
Twenty teams, three grounds and a WhatsApp group is not a schedule. MySportsBuddies gives a tournament the thing it has always been missing: one place where the fixtures, the results and the table all agree.
What you get
Teams and squads
Captains add their own players, so you are not typing in two hundred names. Players who already have an account are linked to it, and their stats follow them.
Groups and fixtures
Build groups, generate the fixtures and assign each match to a ground and a time slot.
Venues and slots
Several grounds running at once, each with its own queue, and the next two teams told when to pad up.
Live standings
The table updates itself as results come in. Nobody has to maintain a spreadsheet at the side of the pitch.
Co-hosts and scorers
Invite other admins, and let a captain or a substitute score their own match. You keep the final say over any correction.
Awards and reports
Player of the match, best batter, best bowler and the rest, worked out from the card and overridable by you — plus a printable scorecard and schedule.
Common questions
- Is there free tournament software for amateur sport?
- Yes. Hosting a tournament on MySportsBuddies is free: teams, squads, groups, fixtures, venues, live standings, scorecards and awards are all included.
- Can somebody else score the matches?
- Yes. A host can give scoring access to co-hosts, captains or anybody else, and can correct a finished card afterwards.
- Can players see their own stats from the tournament?
- Yes. Every innings and spell is written to that player’s profile, using the same batting and bowling averages the professional game uses.
- Can I run several grounds at once?
- Yes. Each venue keeps its own queue, and the teams due on next are told automatically.
